RN Guide; What you need to know
-
Part 1: Your Professional Responsibility
As an independent provider, your license is your business. Failure to adhere to these foundational rules risks your license and exposes you to liability. Solvo MedLink is strictly a tool to facilitate your direct-pay model. Subscriptions start at $100/month.
The Non-Negotiable Legal Mandates
Scope of Practice: All services listed and performed MUST strictly fall within the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act (NPA) in the state where the patient is located.
No Independent Medical Practice: As an RN, you CANNOT independently diagnose, prescribe, or initiate treatment.
Mandatory Medical Oversight (for Prescribed Therapies): If you offer services like IV infusions or vitamin injections, you MUST have a formal collaboration agreement with a licensed Physician (MD/DO) or Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) who provides Standing Orders and a Good Faith Exam (GFE) for the patient. You administer the prescribed order; you do not create it.
Confidentiality & HIPAA: You are solely responsible for ensuring that all client intake, session notes, and communications (outside of platform scheduling data) are managed within a HIPAA-compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.Insurance & Liability: You are required to maintain your own unencumbered license and adequate malpractice and business liability insurance covering your independent practice.

Part 2: How to Use Solvo MedLink
The platform's features focus purely on Visibility, Lead Management, and Appointment Booking.
Phase A: Setup and Visibility
Complete Profile: Provide your current RN license.
Define Services (Scope Check): Only list services that are authorized by your Medical Director's protocols and fall strictly within the RN Scope of Practice in your state (e.g., administering prescribed therapies, wound care, wellness education).
Link Medical Oversight: In your profile settings, link or document your formal Supervising Provider relationship (MD/DO/APP). This confirms your legal coverage for services requiring a prescription or order. (like IVs).
Phase B: Lead Management and Booking
Step 1: Patient Inquiry & Order Trigger Inquiry: A patient finds your profile and initiates an inquiry.
System Divert: The system recognizes your license as a [Prescription/order Required] service and automatically diverts the client to the Supervising Provider's workflow.
Step 2: Order Generation (Mandatory Prescriber Step)
GFE Completion: Your Supervising Provider (MD/APP) completes the Good Faith Exam (GFE) and reviews the client's medical history.
Order Submission: The Prescriber electronically signs and submits approval on Solvo Medlink’s platform.
Step 3: Conditional Booking (The Algorithmic Gate)
Order Clearance: Only after the Approval is logged, will the Algorithmic Workflow Gate unlock the appointment slot for you.
RN Confirmation: You confirm the time and location with the client. This confirmation acts as the final step in accepting the delegation of a medical task.
Phase C: Appointments (Your Sole Responsibility)
The following actions are NOT performed by or recorded on Solvo MedLink:
Clinical Care: You perform the service only according to the signed medical order and your standing protocols.
Documentation: You must use your own HIPAA-compliant EHR/Charting system to document the patient assessment, vital signs, service administration, and response.
Billing/Payments: All financial responsibility and fee structures are solely yours.
